As I’ve mentioned before on my blog, in the taxi industry of the Owari and Gifu areas, passengers who travel only the base fare distance are sometimes affectionately referred to as “koro.” The term comes from Kouro, a local sweet from Shinanoya that disappears almost instantly after it’s served — symbolizing something that ends quickly.

Some passengers say, “Sorry, it’s just a short ride,” but there’s no need to apologize. Please feel free to use Tajimi Taxi anytime!
