Enjoy both scenic beauty and pottery making — Kokei Kiln

This is a place where you can enjoy pottery making while taking in a panoramic view of all of Tajimi. Located on a mountaintop, it feels as if a traditional old Japanese house has been relocated there, and both the setting and the building itself are absolutely charming. The grounds are spacious, and the cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage are stunning.

During the pottery experience, the instructors provide thorough and patient guidance, and you’re allowed to redo your work if needed. One of the highlights is being able to choose your own glaze—I made a Nezumi-Shino style mortar and a Seto-guro Daruma. It will definitely become a wonderful memory.
